This Singer sewing machine, nestled away in one of the corners of our Maltings is a Class 45 Industrial machine. The Class 45’s were made from 1896 right through to at least the mid 1960’s.
The trademark badge on our model has a black border around it, helping identify its date of manufacture to be somewhere around mid-late 1950s.
There were close to a hundred different sub-versions (models) of the Class
45’s and there is little dating information relating to specific Class 45
models.
