Hi, I’m James Marinos from French & Jupps Maltings. This week marks World Wetlands Day on February 2nd, to raise awareness through protecting wetlands, for our common future. Here at French and Jupps and the Malting Business Centre, we’re privileged to be surrounded by rich farmland, the Amwell Nature Reserve and RSPB Rye Meads and strive to help maintain our local area and community. This is why as part of our ESG strategy, we’re committed to: Minimising our environmental impact, exploring new ways to reduce our water consumption and improve our energy efficiency. Protecting biodiversity and working towards creating and maintaining green and community spaces, which is why we are involved in initiatives such as: Supporting The New River Line Community Rail Partnership, who are engaged in maintaining and protecting the stations and canal ways adjacent to Amwell Nature Reserve and RSPB Rye Meads nature reserves. Sponsoring local community initiatives including the refurbishment of our local Scout Hut, Sponsoring the Sawbridgeworth under-12s football team and swimming lessons for local primary school St. Andrews. We are also committed to becoming operationally net zero by 2040. We believe that a healthy environment for our local community is essential for a thriving business and a sustainable future and are proud of the work we have done, whilst being conscious of the road ahead. Learn more about our sustainability (ESG) in our brochure online. Thanks for watching and Happy World Wetlands Day!
